Rapid City Rush extend winning streak with overtime victory
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush won their fourth straight on Saturday with a 3-2 victory over the Kansas City Mavericks.
Mike Hedden deflected a Peter Quenneville shot with 12.6 seconds left to force overtime.
Then with 3:44 remaining in overtime, Hunter Garlent scored to give the Rush the win.
Adam Carlson, set aside 38 out of 40 shots, winning his fourth straight game.
The Rush have now reached the halfway point of the regular season.
Rapid City is still last in the Western Conference with a 16-18-2-0 record.
The Rush wrap up their three-game series against the Kansas City Mavericks on Sunday, March 14.
The puck is set to drop at 4:05 p.m.
