Rapid City residents experience power outage Wednesday night

RAPID CITY, S.D. — At around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, about 1,200 Rapid City residents experienced a power outage.

The outage ran south between Skyline Drive and West Boulevard from Main Street down to St. Patrick Street, and then through downtown east of West Boulevard between Kansas City Street and South Street, over to 7th Street, and finally two more blocks east to 5th Street between Kansas City Street and Quincy Street.

The power was restored around 5:30 p.m.

Cause of the power outage is still under investigation.
