Rapid City police see busy 4th of July weekend

RAPID CITY, SD — While many celebrated this weekend with cookouts and fireworks, police were busy on the streets of Rapid City.

From 5:00 p.m. on July 3rd to midnight July 6th, Rapid City police fielded 307 calls about people either setting off fireworks in the middle of the night or in places they shouldn’t have been.

During the same span of time, they pulled over and arrested 10 people for driving under the influence.
