Rapid City police identify two killed in Saturday night shooting

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police have identified the two individuals who died in a shooting Saturday night in Rapid Valley.

36-year-old Cassandra Clark was killed by 46-year-old Jesse Huffman, both of Kadoka. According to police, the two had been living together and were known to local law enforcement but no domestic orders were in place.

Rapid City police and Pennington County deputies were dispatched on Dec. 4 at about 7:40 p.m. to Valley Sports Bar and Grill, off South Valley Drive, for a report of a person who had been shot. When police arrived, both Clark and Huffman were deceased outside the business.

A spokesperson with the RCPD cited witness statements made on scene to indicate there was no further danger to the public.
