Rapid City Parks Department needs help making summer a blast this year
RAPID CITY, S.D.– The Rapid City Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Blast Summer Camps program is looking to hire additional counselors ahead of the season.
The eight week-long camps run Monday to Friday from May 30 through July 29, with none the week of July 4. Activities include local and out-of-town field trips and adventures, tours of area attractions and activities such as swimming, horseback riding and movies.
Counselor applicants must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and commit to staff all eight camps. Counselors can earn $12 to $13 per hour on the job.
