Rapid City man indicted for failing to pay over $224,000 in taxes

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A Rapid City lawyer, and former prosecutor, has pleaded “not guilty” to failing to pay more than $224,000 in taxes.

Gregory Sperlich, 48, was indicted on January 22 by a federal grand jury for willfully not paying income or self-employment from 2012 to 2015.

He appeared in court on Monday and plead not guilty to the indictment. If charged, Sperlich could face up to 1 year in prison and a $100,000 fine.
