Rapid City man identified in Friday night fatal vehicle crash

RAPID CITY, S.D. – According to a press release issued by the Department of Public Safety, a Rapid City man has been identified as the person who died Friday night in a one-vehicle crash southeast of Rapid City.

The preliminary crash information provided indicates that the vehicle failed to negotiate a left curve on Lower Spring Creek Road, went off the roadway and rolled.

Jeremy Solt, 37, has been identified as the driver and only occupant. Solt was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Dakota Highway Patrol has an ongoing investigation, all information provided to date is considered preliminary.
