Rapid City man arrested after “road rage” incident on I-90

Suspect accused of pointing handgun at another driver

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City man was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly pointing a gun at another driver in what police say was an apparent road rage incident.

Around noon Monday, Rapid City Police responded to a male victim in the 1900 block of N. Lacrosse Street. The man told police he was driving east on I-90 through a construction zone near Black Hawk. According to the man, “an unknown male in a pickup pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle” and “pointed a handgun” at him.

Police later located the vehicle near I-90’s exit 58 and arrested Bobby Moser, 63, of Rapid City after a “high-risk” traffic stop.

Moser’s truck was searched and police found a pistol in the center console.

Moser is charged with Aggravated Assault and is being held at the Pennington County Jail.
