RAPID CITY, S.D. — A Rapid City man accused in the hit-and-run accident that killed a Rapid City father-of-five pleads not guilty in court Friday morning.
Zachary Fegueroa, 25, of Rapid City is accused of hitting and killing 34-year-old Joseph Martinez with his car at the intersection of East Boulevard and East North Street in early December.
Fegueroa is faced with four charges — vehicular homicide, hit-and-run with injury, possession of marijuana, and driving under the influence of alcohol. To each, he pleaded not guilty but if convicted, he can spend up to 35 years behind bars.
He’s set to appear in court again in late February.
