UPDATE: Rapid City inmate back in custody

RAPID CITY, S.D. — South Dakota Department of Corrections has placed a minimum-security inmate on escape status.
25-year-old Paul Standing Crow Beck was serving a sentence for third-degree burglary when he walked away from his work release site in Rapid City on December 19.
Standing Crow Beck is a Native American male standing five-foot-ten and weighing approximately 205 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with knowledge of Standing Crow Beck or his whereabouts should contact local law enforcement immediately.
Failure to return from assignment constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
