UPDATE: Rapid City escaped inmate back in custody

UPDATE: 11/08/20 @4:30 p.m.: Inmate Ivan Good Plume has been arrested.

He is currently in the Pennington County Jail.


RAPID CITY, S.D. — A minimum-security inmate has been placed on escape status.

Ivan Good Plume, 38, left the Rapid City Community Work Center without authorization Friday evening.

Good Plume is Native American, 6’2″, and 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He is serving an 18 year sentence from Pennington County for aggravated assault.

Leaving a non-secure correctional facility without authorization constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
