Rapid City Council extends business closures one-week

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City’s emergency ordinance to keep some businesses closed may be entering its final week.

On Monday night, the common council voted six-to-three to extend the ordinance for one week.

Previous extensions have been for two weeks.

The new one-week extension goes into effect on Wendesday, April 22.

The restrictions were extended to April 29 with the special session to take up the issue, which will be next Monday, April 27.
