Rapid City business restrictions ordinance extended till end of July

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Another extension on Rapid City business restrictions was approved Monday night by the Rapid City Common Council by a six-to-three vote.

The restrictions will now last until July 31.

The initial ordinance, which restricted dine-in options at bars and restaurants, and closed recreational facilities such as gyms and theaters, was to have expired this Saturday.

This extension through July gives council members the ability to make fast changes and impose additional restrictions if the need arises, including ending all restrictions if conditions warrant.
