Rapid City Regional Airport now offering non-stop flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco
RAPID CITY, SD — Just earlier this week Rapid City Regional Airport announced non-stop flights to major California cities Los Angeles and San Francisco.
As of Saturday they welcomed their first inbound flights with a water arch at around 1 p.m.
The flights will bring more traction to all the airports involved and give travelers more options. As of now RAP has the most flights coming in and leaving from South Dakota.
United airlines is the only airline participating in the initiative as of now but the airport hopes to continue expanding over time.
“It’s more connectability for our local passengers and also more availability for us to be able to get those tourists here to support the local market.” said Patrick Dame, Executive Director of RAP.
Flights out of RAP will go to the two major airports in the respective cities; LAX and SFO.
