Rally Point Park celebrates opening with chain cutting

Five years in the making, Rally Point Park in Sturgis is now open.

Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, sparks flew Friday as chains were cut for the new addition to the City of Sturgis.

Back in March, a groundbreaking was held for Rally Point. Almost four months later, and it's ready for business and bikers.

The mayor of Sturgis, Mark Carstensen, commemorated the event with hundreds in attendance.

Rally Point Park will now be open year-round.
