Public Masses suspended until further notice

RAPID CITY, S.D. — According to the leaders of the Diocese of Rapid City and the Diocese of Sioux Falls, public Masses have been suspended.

The spiritual leaders of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rapid City and Sioux Falls have published a statement on suspending all daily Masses and all Sunday Masses have been suspended until further notice.

In the statement, the Dioceses refer to the CDC’s recommendation to limit gatherings to ten people as one of the reasons for the suspension.

The Dioceses will continue to monitor the situation with the intention of restoring the full access to the Sacraments and public prayer as soon as possible.
