Professional football to return to Rapid City
RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Monument Arena will be host to a new professional indoor football team for Rapid City.
That’s according to Tommy Benizio, Interim Commissioner of Champions Indoor Football League, and Tel Koan, co-owner of Rapid City Indoor Football.
An official announcement will be made in a press conference for the to-be-named team on Friday, September 3, at Main Street Square.
Rapid City had previously been home to another professional indoor football team, the Rapid City Flying Aces, which folded in 2006.
