UPDATE: Prison inmate in Sioux Falls back in custody

UPDATE (Sept. 17) — Randy High Horse is back in custody. He was arrested on Tuesday in Minnehaha County and is currently housed in the Minnehaha County Jail.


SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Minimum-security inmate Randy High Horse has been placed on escape status. He left the Sioux Falls Community Work Center Saturday morning without authorization.

High Horse is a Native American male, age 46. He is 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighs approximately 220 pounds.

High Horse is serving a 5-year sentence for unauthorized ingestion of a controlled substance from Hughes County.
