President Trump tweets about Capitol police after Capitol building is locked down
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Trump took to Twitter to ask for the support of Capitol police and law enforcement.
The tweet was posted minutes after the Capitol building was placed on lockdown after protestors stormed the building. He also told everyone to stay peaceful.
The tweet came only 15 minutes after the president posted about Vice President Mike Pence not having the courage to “do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify.”
Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!
