Rushmore Bowl: Central Cobblers lose a heartbreaker to Aberdeen Central

RAPID CITY, S. D. — The Stevens Raiders have been the most successful Rapid City team at the Rushmore Bowl over the past 26 years, holding a 20-6 record.

The Raiders picked up win number 21 on Friday night, as they defeated the Watertown Arrows 40-12 at the Rushmore Bowl.

Colton Hartford threw four touchdown passes, three to Michael Norman and one to Bridger Nesbit.

Uriah Glynn also scored on a four yard touchdown run.

The win also marked the first for new Raiders head coach Steve Svendsen.

The Raiders are now 1-1 on the season and will travel to Harrisburg on Sept. 14 to take on the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Rapid City Central lost a close one to Aberdeen Central at the Rushmore Bowl.

The Golden Eagles defeated the Cobblers, 20-18.
