RAPID CITY, S.D. – Despite a great effort by Rapid City Central, the Cobblers lost to top-ranked Sioux Falls Jefferson on Saturday in boys basketball, 55-50.
The game was tied at 24 a piece at halftime.
But the Cavaliers had a big third quarter outscoring the Cobblers, 19-8.
Central senior Cameron Steidley led all scorers with 20 points.
Plus Shun-Zi White Women, Jon Suarez and Lincoln Archambault each added six points a piece for the Cobblers.
Jack Radel led the Rough Riders with 16 points.
Central falls to 2-4 on the season, while Roosevelt improves to 4-2.
The Cobblers will travel to Sturgis on Friday, Jan. 13 to play the Scoopers.
Boys Basketball
SF Jefferson, 65, RC Stevens 54
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Stevens lost to top-ranked Sioux Falls Jefferson on Saturday in boys basketball, 65-54.
The Raiders were led by Dayler Segrist and Kaelem Brooks who each finished with 11 points.
Stevens is now 1-5 on the season.
The Raiders will travel to Wyoming to play Campbell County on Friday, Jan. 13.
