Post 320 wraps up the regular season with split against SF East

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Class ‘A’ Legion baseball playoffs are set to begin in on Friday, July 22 across the state.

Rapid City Post 22 is currently the number one team in the standings.

But the Hardhats are already in the state tournament, as they are the host team.

That leaves the next 14 teams all fighting for playoff positions, with the top seven seeds earning the right to host a first round playoff series.

Right now, Rapid City Post 320 is holding onto the seventh seed and would entertain Yankton if the postseason started today.

The Stars wrapped up the regular season on Saturday afternoon by hosting Sioux Falls East in a doubleheader.

Post 320 rallied to win the first game, 10-6.

But then Sioux Falls East bounced back to win the second game, 18-11.

The Stars enter the postseason with a 31-16 record.

The first round of the playoffs will feature a three-game series.

The seven winners from the playoffs will advance to the state tournament.
