Police Special Response Team responds to North Rapid City address
Serving warrant related to recent gun thefts
UPDATE: The police have located two more stolen firearms in the residence at 210 Madison Street.
All four firearms have been determined to be stolen from 406 E. North Street. Methamphetamine was also located inside the house.
The execution of the search warrant and the associated traffic stop have generated additional leads that detectives are looking into. The RCPD is committed to recovering the seven remaining stolen firearms from the business burglary.
In addition to the 2 rifles recovered from the traffic stop associated with today’s SRT callout, police also located two stolen firearms in the residence at 210 Madison Street. Methamphetamine was also located inside the house.

UPDATE: A search of the car during a traffic stop turned up two of the stolen rifles.
“We gained a lot of valuable information here and this remains an active ongoing investigation,” said Hedrick. “Detectives and investigators from sheriff’s office as well have a lot of work to do tonight and today and ongoing”.
The police took the following three Rapid City men into custody:
- 18-year-old Aloysius (Al-oo-ish-us) Brave Hawk
- 19-year-old Bison Little Spotted Horse
- 20-year-old Blake Two Eagle
UPDATE (4:53 p.m.): This afternoon, the Rapid City Police got an anonymous tip that the guns were located at a residence in North Rapid.
According to Don Hedrick, the Assistant Chief of the Rapid City Police Department, some of the weapons were located at a residence at the 200 block of Madison Street.
This led Police to respond to the residence. A traffic stop was performed by College Park. The people inside the vehicle were detained.
At least two of the weapons that were stolen from the burglary were recovered at this time.
Because of the weapons involved, the Police contacted its Special Response Team to serve the search warrant.
