UPDATE: Police release photos of suspects involved in Rapid City burglary

UPDATE: The Rapid City Police Department has released photos of the two suspects involved in a burglary at Pawn With Us in Rapid City on Saturday.


RAPID CITY, S.D. — Authorities are searching for two suspects in a burglary that happened Saturday at Pawn With Us in Rapid City.

At around 3:45 a.m. on Aug. 10, police were dispatched to the location on East North Street after an alarm was activated. Upon arrival, they observed that one of the glass doors to the building had been broken.

They then worked to clear the building, but found no one inside. Store ownership arrived on scene and they were able to pull up surveillance video of the event.

One of the suspects in the video is seen using a bat to break the glass door and gain entry. Once inside, the person breaks a glass counter and is seen taking at least two pistols.

In the video, the person wore a dark flannel jacket, black pants, and a dark colored hat. The other suspect is seen wearing a white sweatshirt, tan pants, and a black backpack.

No other description of the suspects was given. The Rapid City Police Department says they’re currently working to get an inventory of what was stolen, as well as obtaining the video footage.
