Police investigating armed robbery at Boyds Drug Mart

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Boyds Drug Mart on East Saint Patrick Street Monday afternoon.

At around 3:00 p.m. police were called to the address for a panic alarm. On arrival police began speaking to witnesses who told officers that an unknown male entered the business, approached the pharmacy counter, displayed a firearm and demanded prescription medication. The employees complied and the man exited the store before he fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about 50 years in age with black hair. He was wearing a brown jacket, Broncos ball cap, and a yellow surgical mask.
