PennCo Sheriff to be featured in new cable show

PENNINGTON COUNTY, SD – Local law enforcement involved in a U.S. Marshals warrant sweep will be featured in a new A&E network show called Live PD: Wanted. The show premieres Thursday, October 17. Please check local listings for time.

Hosted by Tom Morris Jr., Live PD: Wanted activates Live PD Nation to help law enforcement agencies across the country track down fugitives from justice. This weekly series will also update the stories of the fugitives the #LivePD audience has already helped capture while embedding with multiple task forces around the country.

Operation Fall Clean-Up was conducted September 16-20 in Pennington County. 67 violent felony fugitives were arrested in the week-long operation as part of the District of South Dakota’s renewed Project Safe Neighborhoods program.

The Live PD: Wanted crew followed a warrant team with members from the Pennington County Sherriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Service, National Park Service and others. They apprehend some of the area’s most violent and persistent offenders with outstanding state and federal felony warrants for violent crimes, drug trafficking, and sex offenses.
