OST police net meth, marijuana, pills in traffic stop

KYLE S.D. – Four people are behind bars stemming from drug charges on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

According to a press release from the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety, four people were arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop on Saturday, Feb. 16. The release continued to say that one man and three females were pulled over during a traffic stop. Police then found 5.9 grams of meth, marijuana, Tramadol prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, and an unspecified amount of cash.

All four were arrested on the charges of manufacturing, distribution, or possession with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under the influence.

The suspects were arrested and taken to the jail in Kyle. They are ages and identities are unknown at this time.
