One man shot Friday evening, RCPD searching for suspect
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Police Department officers were dispatched to an apartment at 100 Surfwood Drive Friday evening for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a single male with gunshot wounds. A medical unit arrived shortly after and transported the man to a hospital.
The man’s injuries appear to be serious, but non-life-threatening.
Police are working on tracking down the suspect responsible, and it is believed that the shooter and the victim were acquainted after officers spoke to witnesses.
Police believe there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
