ON PAR: Teams flock to annual ‘Putt N’ Pub’

A total of 82 teams pub crawled and golfed their way to 16 business along downtown Rapid City.

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Drinks and mini golf, sounds like a pretty good day.

In fact, if you were looking to throw a couple back and play all at the same time, the annual Putt N’ Pub gave you the chance to do just that.

The Putt N’ Pub is put on by the Black Hills Works Foundation to be a fundraiser for Black Hills Works.

Registration began at the Rushmore Hotel and Suites, where 82 teams of as many as four started their pub crawl, eventually making their way to 16 businesses along downtown Rapid City to play the full 18 holes.

While it’s a unique combination of activities, it also gives participants a unique opportunity learn about Black Hills Works supports it community.

“People that we support are very involved in the community, so their ability to go out and actually putt is great,” said Carrie Moser, the Director of Engagement for the Black Hills Works Foundation. “There are celebrity putters, so every hole has their own celebrity putter. So it’s a great way to bring people into the mission of Black Hills Works and and create those moments so that you know exactly how your support who your support is benefiting.”

Prizes were given out for best score, worst score and best costume.
