Old Time Country Fourth of July Celebration kicks off

CUSTER, S.D. – The Old Time 4th of July Fair is back in the downtown Custer area.

They kicked off today with kids crafts at the 1881 Courthouse Museum and old-time games at the park. The tradition started 16 years ago and has been a summer highlight ever since.

Kids and adults alike were welcome to participate in ring tossing, face painting, and a dozen other activities.

Events will be going through the 4th to celebrate the independence of our nation. They will kick off Independence Day with a B-1 Bomber and a parade where kids and veterans will walk from one side of town to the other.

Throughout the day they will host several activities including live music and of course a firework show on Pageant Hill.
