Oglala Lakota College relying on online teaching amid coronavirus concerns

KYLE, S.D. — Oglala Lakota College will no longer be teaching studnets face-to-face on account of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in South Dakota.

OLC will instead deliver courses to its students online for the remainder of the spring semester. Only on-site construction and automotive classes will be done face-to-face.

The official start day of online classes will be March, 23 2020.

Out of students of the nine college centers on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Rapid City, and the Cheyenne River College Center, only OLC students will have access to to the building if their only access to the online classes is through the college center.

The library and bookstore will only be available for OLC students as well.

OLC’s historical center will be closed indefinitely.
