North Dakota reports 8 new COVID-19 deaths, 169 more cases

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota health officials say an additional eight people have died from complications due to COVID-19, and 169 more people have been confirmed to have the virus.

The new figures reported Saturday bring the state’s death toll to 1,411 and the total number of cases to 96,720 since the pandemic began.

The state says more than 1,100 people are considered to have active cases of the virus, while 50 people are currently hospitalized.
