The governor’s spokesperson, Ian Fury, had confirmed last week that an unknown number of National Guard personnel were being called-up for a potential D.C. deployment. They are part of some 25,000 personnel called to the nation’s capital for President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday.
