No travel advised in Lead

LEAD, S.D. — The City of Lead has advised no travel within the town.

The streets are icy and dangerous to be driving on due to the freezing rain and snow from the previous night.

Residents are encouraged to stay home and refrain from driving on the steep streets. Multiple accidents have already been reported.

Lead officials also ask residents to be careful when walking on the sidewalks.

The street department is working on getting the streets cleared and safe.
