No injuries reported after Box Elder mobile home fire

BOX ELDER, S.D. — Firefighters facing nearly triple-digit temperatures on Wednesday were able to hold a mobile home fire to a single alarm.

The call came in just before 4 p.m., and crews arriving on scene in the 300 block of Meadow Road found a free-burning fire with moderate smoke.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the structure. No injuries to civilians or domestic animals were reported.

Residents of the home are being assisted by the American Red Cross of Central and Western South Dakota.
