Ninth annual Fruhlingsfest to take place at Main Street Square

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A heads-up for craft beer lovers out there — there’s an event that’s meant just for you this weekend.

Fruhlingfest PreviewThe ninth annual Fruhlingsfest is taking place on Saturday at Rapid City’s Main Street Square.

Fruhlingsfest is a spring market featuring local vendors, food trucks and of course local craft beer on tap. The event will also feature games set up in the courtyard and live music from Humbletown.

And for the first time, there will be a competition to prove your prowess behind the grill.

“This year, we actually added the beer and bones barbecue component, so there’ll be an amateur rib cook-off as well,” said Main Street Square Event Coordinator Bobbi Schaefbauer.

Fruhlingsfest starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday and runs until 5 p.m.

Main Streets Square’s next big event is their Kid’s Carnival planned for June 4.
