19 new COVID-19 cases reported west river; nine in Pennington County
67 new cases statewide.
PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health reported 67 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Saturday.
The number of confirmed cases of the virus stands at 6,225. Active cases of coronavirus rose to 809, that number is up eight from Friday.
19 cases were reported west river – nine in Pennington County, three in Custer County, two in Corson County, two in Lyman County, and one case was reported in Meade County, Oglala Lakota County and Stanley County.
A total of 446 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Pennington County. Of those cases, 283 have recovered.
Recoveries rose by 59, bringing the state’s total to 5,335.
The number of currently hospitalized individuals is 91, down four from Friday. 598 people have ever been hospitalized from the virus.
No new COVID-19 related deaths were reported Saturday, leaving the state’s total at 81.
