Night to Shine Preview

A local church is stepping up to host a Night to Shine for the second year

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Bethel Church in Rapid City is partnering with the Tim Tebow Foundation for the second year to host a Night to Shine, an unforgettable prom night for people with special needs.

This year’s event will be held in the former Sears building in the Rushmore Mall to provide more room, as last year, 600 people showed up for the event.

The event isn’t until Feb. 8, but the time to register is now as either a volunteer or a guest. Donors are also needed to help fund the event.

Guests with special needs 14 and older will enjoy a limo ride, a red-carpet experience, a catered meal, and a night of dancing.

Over 500 other Night to Shine events will be happening on that same evening in almost every state in the U.S.

Organizer Keith Culver says, “This is a great way for businesses, business owners and just people in our community to come together and bless people. Sometimes they don’t feel love, sometimes they don’t feel like they are cared for. But we want to make this an event to where they feel absolutely loved and absolutely like a king and queen that they are.”
