New science wing under construction for Raiders
Students at Stevens High School will soon be used to the sight of construction, as a new science wing is being built over the 2015-2016 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Tim Mitchell and Stevens High School staff broke ground Monday for the expansion.
Stevens High School was built in 1970, leaving the current science department outdated. To better serve students, eight new classrooms with laboratories will be added to the school.
The projected completion date is August of 2016.
