ND sees COVID hospitalizations at lowest point in five months

BISMARCK, N.D. — North Dakota has reported their lowest number of hospitalizations since late August after fixing a computer glitch that caused delays in the states reporting system.

55 people are currently hospitalized statewide, with seven of those patients in intensive care.

The North Dakota Department of Health confirmed 158 positive tests on Wednesday, for a daily positivity rate of about 3%. The total number of active cases in the state is now 1,177. An additional 171 people have recovered – 93,658 total recoveries since the pandemic began.

The following counties have reported new COVID-19 cases:

  • Burleigh County (Bismarck) – 21
  • Ward County (Minot) – 18
  • Cass County (Fargo) – 16
  • Williams County (Williston) – 16
  • Grand Forks County (Grand Forks) – 15
  • Stark County (Dickinson)– 10

One death was added on Wednesday; the states death toll now stands at 1,387.
