ND records 49 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths Sunday

BISMARCK, N.D. — The North Dakota Department of Health reported 49 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, for a daily positivity rate of 3.42%. The total number of positive tests statewide is now 98,155 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Hospitalizations rose by three to 39, with nine of those patients in the intensive care unit.

An additional 107 recoveries were recorded; a total of 95,946 people have recovered so far during the pandemic.

No new deaths were reported on Sunday, leaving the states death toll at 1,428.

More than 126,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered statewide so far, with Cass County (Fargo) leading the way. The N.D. Vaccination Dashboard shows roughly 11% of North Dakotans have received a first dose of the vaccine, and about 4.8% have received two doses.
