ND continues low daily COVID-19 positivity rate streak

BISMARCK, N.D. — On Sunday, the North Dakota Department of Health reported 47 new positive cases of COVID-19, for a positivity rate of about 3.5%.

762 cases are considered active statewide. An additional 91 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 96,404.

38 people are currently hospitalized, with six of those patients in the intensive care unit.

No new deaths were included in Sunday’s update. A total of 1,431 people have died from complications due to the virus since the pandemic began.

13% of North Dakotans (94,854) have received a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while 6.3% (45,851)  have received two doses.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention vaccination data shows North Dakota as eighth in the country for vaccination doses administered per-capita.
