ND adds 134 COVID-19 cases, four deaths on Thursday

BISMARCK, N.D. — On Thursday, the North Dakota Department of Health added 134 positive cases of COVID-19, for a daily positivity rate of about 2.61%. Active cases rose by 39 to 836.

74 additional people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries in the state to 96.763.

31 people are currently hospitalized, down 12 from Wednesday. Seven of those patients are in the intensive care unit.

The following counties have recorded new positive cases:

  • Cass County (Fargo) – 32 cases
  • Burleigh County (Bismarck) – 16 cases
  • Williams County (Williston) – 11 cases
  • Grand Forks County (Grand Forks) – seven cases
  • Ward County (Minot) – six cases

Four deaths were reported on Thursday, leaving the states death toll at 1,431 since the pandemic began.

104,832 North Dakotans (14.3%) have received a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while 53,547 residents (7.3%) have received two doses.
