National Voter Registration Day

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Tuesday, Sept. 24, is National Voter Registration Day.

From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 24, the Rapid City Public Library on Quincy St. will have a booth setup in the lobby with people who are ready to assist you in getting registered. If you have never registered to vote, have recently moved, turned 18 or changed your name then now is the perfect time for you to register to vote.

All you need is to be a resident of South Dakota and be 18 years old before the election you want to vote in. Please bring your driver’s license to register. If you do not have one, then you can use the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.

Be sure to head down to the Rapid City Public Library on Sept. 24 to register to vote before the next election.

National Voter Registration Day was first observed in 2012.
