National Park Service announces 2021 Fee-Free Days
WASHINGTON — On six days in 2021, over 400 National Park Service sites nationwide will offer free admission to everyone. While the waiver covers entrance fees, it does not cover amenity or user fees for activities like camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.
Mark your calendar for the following “Fee-Free Days” in 2021:
January 18 – Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday
April 17 – First Day of National Park Week
August 4 – One Year Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
August 25 – National Park Service Birthday
September 25 – National Public Lands Day
November 11 – Veterans Day
The America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass allows year-round free access to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas, including all national parks that typically charge entrance fee. The pass is available to anyone for $80.
Free or discounted passes are available year-round to senior citizens, current military members, families with fourth grade students, and disabled individuals.
