National Finals Rodeo: Lisa Lockhart of Oelrichs ties for 1st in the fifth round of barrel racing

LAS VEGAS, NV – We’re at the halfway point of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

The fifth round was held on Monday at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Barrel Racing

Lisa Lockhart from Oelrichs, SD tied for first in the barrel racing with Hailey Kinsel.

Lockhart and Kinsel each posted a time of 13.52 seconds and won $25,882 a piece.

Lockhart has now placed in four out of five rounds.

She entered the NFR ranked 14th in the world standings.

But Lockhart has moved up to sixth after winning $75,315 so far through five rounds.

Meanwhile, Jessica Routier from Buffalo, SD placed sixth on Monday in the barrel racing.

She turned in a time of 13.72 seconds and earned $4,664.

 

Team Roping

Levi Lord from Sturgis and Jr. Dees from Aurora, SD roped the steer in 4.2 seconds on Monday in the team roping.

However, they broke the barrier which adds a 10 second penalty.

So they finished out of the money with a time of 14.2 seconds.
