Name released in Pennington County fatal crash

KEYSTONE, S.D. — A Keystone, South Dakota man has been identified as the person who died in a one-vehicle crash east of Keystone on Sunday, December 27.

A 2017 Kia Sportage Ex was eastbound on South Dakota Highway 40 when the vehicle left the roadway, entered the north ditch and rolled.

63-year-old Scott Handy was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant of the vehicle and he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and all information released so far is only preliminary.
