Multiple pistols, AR style rifles stolen from Sturgis Guns

STURGIS, S.D. — Several pistols and AR style rifles were stolen from Sturgis Guns early on Sunday morning.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, November 2, officers from the Sturgis Police Department and the South Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a commercial alarm at Sturgis Guns. When they arrived they found that the front glass door was smashed in.

After the building was cleared, the officers learned that about nine pistols and four AR style rifles are missing.

The incident is being investigated by the Sturgis Police Department as well as agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives.
