Multiple fire agencies respond to Piedmont house fire Sunday night

PIEDMONT, S.D. — Shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday night, a fire broke out in a Piedmont home.

Piedmont and Black Hawk Volunteer Fire Departments responded to Foothill Drive to fight the fire.

Meade County Emergency Management says the single family home received moderate fire and smoke damage displacing a family of five.

The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Meade County Sheriff’s Office and Pennington County Fire also responded.

No injuries were reported.
