Motorcycle, Hot Rod, 4X4 Swap Meet

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Central States Fairgrounds was home to biker enthusiasts Sunday afternoon for the 12th annual Motorcycle, Hot-Rod, 4X4 Swap Meet.

The event is hosted by the group Soldiers for Jesus and other local motorcycle clubs. It was a great opportunity for bikers to find that special and interesting bike or part, with all proceeds going to the Rapid City Club for Boys.

“Regardless of what’s going on in the economy and society, those boys still need help. And I just saw so much of the different programs they have there that makes me feel real good about supporting the Rapid City Club for Boys. Because there is no lack of that, peoples lives, families continue on, and we’re able to do a little portion which makes a difference for somebody, so that’s why we do it,” said Rags, chaplain of the Soldiers for Jesus motorcycle club.

Along with the various parts and trinkets that could be bought, there was also a raffle for a motorcycle – for Operation Zero – a charity supported by Vietnam veterans.

All in all, organizers consider the day a big success.
